PLEASE BE AWARE – WIRE FRAUD IS ON THE RISE! Cyber criminals are hacking email accounts and sending emails with fake wire instructions. Never wire money without double checking the wire instructions are correct. You should always independently confirm wire instructions via phone call to a trusted and verified phone number.

If you have an escrow or closing transaction with us and you receive an email containing Wire Transfer Instructions, DO NOT RESPOND TO OR USE THE CONTACT INFORMATION PROVIDED IN THE EMAIL! Instead, please contact our office, using previously established contact information, to verify the information prior to sending funds. We are not responsible for any wires and funds sent to an incorrect bank account.

If you are a victim of wire fraud, you should immediately contact your financial institution and your local Federal Bureau of Investigation Office.

Pennsylvania Transfer Tax Rates

Pennsylvania realty transfer tax is generally imposed at a rate of 2% of the value of the real estate – 1% to the state PLUS the percentage (generally an additional 1%) charged by the local government.
